Google Analytic is a web analytics service provided by Google. It helps users to track activities such as session duration, pages per session and bounce rate of individual using the site. Google launched this service in 2005, after acquiring Urchin. Google Analytics has undergone many changes and currently on its 4th iteration, GA4. Google analytics is considered as a golden tool in Search Engine Optimization. 

Analytics tools are essential for identify the traffic sources in a website. The various traffic sources are:

(a) Direct traffic: This refers to the user who visit a website by typing the URL into their browser's address bar. 

(b) Organic traffic: This represent visitors who land on a website through search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo or other.

(c) Social Media traffic: This category includes visitors who  visit a website through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.

(d) Referral traffic: Referral traffic involves visitors who arrive at a website through link on other website. These links can from various sources such as campaigns, blogs or online contents. 

(e) Ad traffic: Ad traffic refers to visitors who come by clicking on paid advertisement. This can include Google Ads, PPC, Bing Ads, Twitter ads....

The steps for using Google Analytics are as follows: 

(1) Open Google, in the search bar type Google Analytics and press enter.
(2) Sign in or create an account in Google Analytics and click on start measuring.
(3) On the create account box type your name or company name and click on Next button.
(4) Fill in the property details, including property name, reporting time and currency .
(5) Select the appropriate industry category and choose your business size. Click Create.
(6) Choose your country from the list and click Accept.
(7) In the data collection settings, select the platform as web and paste your website URL in the stream field.
(8) Provide a name for the stream and click Create Stream.
(9) Copy the code from the installation window that appears.
(10) Open your blogger, go to Settings, choose the Theme option and select HTML edit.
(11) Paste the code in the appropriate location within the HTML code.
(12) Save the changes.
